There are some really popular characters in Inazuma, and it’s because they’re popular that the series can be popular. I’d like you to think of him as a success story. At first he was hopeless, but he’s gradually grown and improved, and I think he shows off the attractive point of Inazuma Eleven. I decided Inazuma Japan from the start, but after listening to everyone’s opinion it changed a bit. Rather than deciding ‘This is how it should be!’ I tried to think of the Inazuma Japan everyone wanted. There’s so many unique players - it must have been tough choosing Japan’s representatives! And that’s why I think it’s interesting and I want you to look forward to it. People may agree or disagree with that, but it will definitely be different from series of the past. Ares was short, and Orion will follow on from Ares putting aside time for human drama over training scenes. In the middle of making it I was told, wait! This isn’t soccer! but I promise you they do play soccer! Training for special moves is part of the core foundation of Inazuma. This time they won’t go to space and aliens won’t attack, but I want to explore human drama in a new way.
Their passion for soccer will change people one by one - that’s what I want to show. Of course, there is soccer but there will be a lot of characters using their head to make careful strategies. What kind of different series do you think Orion will become? My biggest goal is to do something that’s never been done in any of the previous Inazuma series.Ī lot of things happened in the previous series. I think one of the attractive points of Inazuma Eleven is something crazy happening out of nowhere, like going to space. I think people really enjoyed seeing all of the stories unfold.
